Silkash eleven68 - Northstone Developments

My role throughout 2019 at Northstone, as Sales & Marketing Consultant, was to comment on the design and specification of the house types being developed and to work closely with the Peel Marketing team to develop a brand and ‘naming’ principle for the individual schemes, working on developing the sales website and social media campaign.

We were then commissioned to design and install the two show houses (eleven68 and ten50) on their first site at Silkash.

Our conceptual design approach for the show houses was to take influence from the Scandinavian ethos of the Northstone house type designs and the Silkash identity.

Anita Jolley, Senior Sales Manager - Northstone

"It was really important we got the correct interior design scheme to compliment our first development. Fiona understood the brief and worked closely with our architect and me to provide the right brands and right feel of the show homes.

Everyone who has visited the development has been very complimentary and love the style of the interiors, they are different from the more suburban style show homes but worked perfectly for our target market."

We have drawn on our extensive experience in presenting the show houses to make them appeal to their target market, suggesting how the spaces could be used to enhance the floor areas.

Hygge way of life is to be wrapped with a cosy hug so the aim was for the interior of this house, does that with neutral calmness and homeliness. Maximising the use of the light adding gentle warm whites, earth colours and very soft off white interior paint finish throughout. Lots of natural materials with wood, linens, leather, canvas, wool and other textures that compliment each other will dress the house.

Living room
The expansive ground floor area is in the main whites, beiges and natural materials with soft touches of warm whites and grey. Deep warmth from the dark wooden furniture.

Kitchen/dining area
The expansive ground floor area is in the main whites, beiges and natural materials with soft touches of greys. Softer washed timber finish to the dining table and chairs give lightness and space with linen ‘wave’ voiles from the ceiling to the floor.

Master Bedroom 1
Mostly white with tints of warm wood and beige linens – one wall is a soft moleskin colour as a backdrop to timber slatted headboard and complimentary maple furniture.

Guest Bedroom 2
Sandwashed wood for the bed and furniture is soft and very calm with a mix of natural ‘Prussian Blue’ linens. A soft warm grey wall behind the headboard.

Study/teen Bedroom 3
Silkash ‘setting plaster pink’ colour for 2 walls as a backdrop to the desk and shelving unit.

Kids Bedroom 4
White, white and more white!

Wet areas
Very bold, patterned wallpapers are a small surprise elements in the enclosed spaces and are tied into the theme of the house but with bold colours and patterns in the en-suite, bathroom, ‘lootility’ and dressing room
